He also leads the Centre for Host-Microbiome Interactions, where his research explores how genetics and the oral microbiome contribute to periodontal disease. Prof Luigi has over 20 years of experience in clinical periodontology and research, with a focus on regenerative procedures and minimally invasive techniques. He has published extensively in leading journals, authored books, and lectures internationally.
